Hi... this is just a post to say hi I suppose.
I'm currently sitting at my computer, enjoying the quet... My hip hurts, I bored out of my mind, (bored enough to play on my myspace page) and yeah, so thats basically the gist of what I'm doing right now.

For those of you that don't know, I've changed my mind as far as career and schooling goes. I've decided to persue nursing instead of animation. This decision is currently causing a little bit of an issue between me and Steve (fiance). I wanted to stay here, and do the Licensed Pratical Nurse program, which is two years... but the local animation studio, FatKat, seems to be on the verge of shutting down... so there wouldn't be anywhere to work for him.
I decided to take a health care aide course through the lcoal red cross. They basicaly teach you how to help patients with their day to day care, take vitals, help with therapy and so on. I'm really excited and I can't wait for the graduation ceremony in December and then finally getting to work. The course starts May 26th, so I'm super pumped and can't wait. I've decided that while I'm doing all of this, I'm going to upgrade my marks over the summer, even though I'm already taking the health care aide course over the summer. Get some better math marks, some sciences and maybe a higher english mark so I'll be competitive if I end up applying to one of the bacherlor of nursing programs out west... More then likely thats where we'll end up after Steve is done school, so who knows?

At any rate, thats more then enough for today!

Blarg!! The Snow, it will NEVER leave!

So... snow, it's a fun, wondrous bunch of fluff when it's not choking the very life force and soul from your frozen husk of a body!!!!!

Here in the lovely Miramichi, each winter is a constant battle against a never ending onslaught of snow... well, this year did not disappoint.

This picture was taken from my apartment window like 2 weeks ago. As you can see, a crap-load of snow!



This is what I woke up to this morning. This lovely blizzard started sometime around 5am this morning, and HASN'T FINISHED YET!!! LOL... it's 10:34pm as I'm writing this... and I can still hear the wind howling over my stereo....





So, needless to say............... I'M SICK OF SNOW!!!

It's done!!

I now have the 'finished' photoshop painting of Oliver finished and here it is!! I don't like this one as much as the last, but still... not too bad. Again, done with Photoshop CS3 and a tablet pc. The main and forelock kinda got screwed up (damn multi-colored hair) but oh well. I was getting frustrated with it, so I thought it best to simply finish it and then leave it be....

Working on another one right now, just of a random horse... it's a different color then the last two, so it should be interesting to see how it comes out.

Here's another painting I've started, not done yet obviously, but it's getting there darnit! It's of a friends horse, a horse I learned how to ride on when I was yet a young'un.
The horse's name is Oliver, he's a big cutie and a royal pain in the ass :P

Anywho, the painting is again done in Photoshop CS3 with my fiance's tablet pc. It's no where near done, but I thought it would be cool to have a 'in-progress' picture to look at once I'm done.

So, without further adieu...

Ah! So excited! I was randomly searching around on a horse message board and came across this picture of a really nice looking horse and felt this crazy urge to draw it... so I did!... and it turned out really awesome like!

It was all done in photoshop.

Anywho, this is a picture done if photoshop for one of my courses at NBCC. The class in question being Storyboarding, but the project thingy being called 'Tara's Drawing Jam'... Which you can view at this website...

Basically what we do is we draw a picture, anyway we want, however we want... as long as we're using the pose and basic look of whomever or whatever we're drawing. We then send those pictures to our lovely teacher Tara who then puts them onto her website for all to see.

So, that being said... Here is my contribution to this weeks Drawing Jam.. it doesn't look a thing like Marilyn Munroe, but I likes it!
